The co-located event Firexpo East Africa also grew as a stand-alone feature dedicated to the fire safety industry and saw some of the market’s leading brands present their products to an engaged audience. Furthermore, the health and safety dedicated side to the show, K-OSH saw great results this year, boasting more exhibiting brands than ever.

The annual Conference took place once again this year and welcomed hundreds of guests as leading experts took to the stage to impart their industry knowledge and insights. Some of the most popular topics this year included ‘Security Trends in Kenya’, a topic presented by Mr Augustine Lokwang Ekitela, secretary general of ACISMP and sponsored by Tracom Solutions. Another popular session this year was ‘IT Security – The Emerging Threats’ presented by Mr Silvanus Sewe, the Chairman of KEPSA.

Alexander Angus, the regional director for Montgomery East Africa had this to say on the results from this year’s event; “As a team, we are absolutely delighted with this year’s results. We saw our busiest event to date and the feedback we’ve had from our exhibitors has been overwhelmingly positive. I think the figures reflect the industry feeling at the moment, there’s a huge amount of investment being poured into Kenya and East Africa, and with the technological evolution occurring at the moment, there’s a strong demand for up-to-date security, fire and safety solutions. We’re excited to take learnings from this year and apply them to the 2020 edition. One of our main changes will be to change venue to the newly-constructed Sarit Centre Exhibition Centre, this is to accommodate our fast growth.”

Next year’s event will be held from the 10th – 12th of November 2020 at the Sarit Exhibition Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. With the event’s expected continued growth, organisers will look to attract more than 3,000 professionals with more than 100 brands present. Taking place at the brand-new purpose-built Sarit Exhibition Centre, both exhibitors and organisers alike are said to have welcomed the change in venue as it will allow the expo to continue growing year on year, providing more local amenities and accessibility.

Following this year’s successful edition, brands have already begun rebooking for 2020 and space on the floor is filling up fast. Those interested in taking part can make an enquiry via the International sales manager, Ben Dale by contacting him on Ben.Dale@montex.co.uk
