21 Mar Qualys receives Dubai Electronic Security Center certification
Qualys, Inc. has announced that it has received cloud service provider (CSP) certification from the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC).
Qualys is a leading provider of cloud-based IT, security, and compliance solutions. The certification confirms that Qualys’ cloud services meet the CSP Security Standard requirements set by DESC. This allows Qualys to expand its cloud-native services to various public-sector organizations located in the Emirate of Dubai.
DESC is responsible for developing best practices to make Dubai a leader in cybersecurity and information protection. The centre creates its policies and standards, including CSP, and provides certifications to support government entities in their compliance journeys. It is mandatory for any enterprise that offers cloud services to the Dubai government and semi-government entities to comply with the centre’s CSP standard.
Qualys has leveraged its existing certifications, such as FedRAMP Moderate, various ISO/IEC standards, Cloud Security Alliance Star, and others, to achieve the DESC certification.
As a result, more than 20 Qualys cloud-native applications, including TotalCloud, Cybersecurity Asset Management, Vulnerability Management, Detection & Response (VMDR), and Cloud Detection & Response (CDR), are now DESC CSP-certified.

Qualys has received a DESC accreditation. This means that the company’s security offerings align with the security requirements mandated by DESC. By obtaining this certification, Qualys can establish stronger and longer-lasting relationships with government clients in Dubai as it demonstrates its commitment to meeting each entity’s specific security requirements.
