Intersec Saudi Arabia Soundbites: Seagate

Fresh from their spell on the cover of the latest issue of Security Middle East, Seagate were attending Intersec Saudi Arabia, keen to share how its own solutions and services can support the growth we’re seeing in the region.

We caught up with Jermaine Campbell, of Seagate, to find out how the organisation’s solutions are perfectly aligned with what’s going on in Saudi Arabia and can support the huge data requirements that are supporting its projects.

“I think (that some of our technologies are most suitable for the Saudi market) because the kind of city surveillance and the smart cities, you know that they’re really looking at, all of the projects and things that they’re doing actually are relying on the data” he said. “Good data, the data management and they want to store it and analyse it, they want to share, move it around and use it to inform their decisions on what they’re going to do.

“Whether it be looking at energy, environment, smart cities. Some of the solutions we’re coming up with deal with mass data, migration, analytics, moving around, archiving it for a long time. We’ve got specific things that are very good at that, that align with Saudi’s plans.”
