Emirates Investment Bank allegedly experienced a data breach, however, the motive for the attack is undisclosed.
The hack was made public after a hacker known as JustAnon69 posted on the dark web to boast of gaining access to Emirates Investment Bank details and attempting to sell its data for US$10,000.
However, the claim’s authenticity has been questioned after the official website of the bank was found to be devoid of any suspicious activity.
The Bank group has not yet commented to verify the cyberattack, however, the cast amplifies the escalating cyber warfare in the Middle East.
