MENA ISC 2021 kicks off in Riyadh

The Middle East and North Africa Information Security Conference represents the biggest Cybersecurity Conference in the MENA region.  Hosted by cybersecurity advisory company VirtuPort for the past 9 years, the 2021 event will take place in Riyadh as a hybrid virtual event on 25th – 26th May, featuring the theme “Continuous Monitoring and Mitigation. Understanding the Impact in a 5G Era”.

In the post Covid-19 world, industries are facing rising cyber security concerns calling for continuous and greater cyber security vigilance. Organizations must manage risk proactively, with People, Process and Technology at the core.  The GCC region has become a centre point for cyberattacks because of its strategic and economic significance, with government, education, and BFSI industries the most targeted verticals by cyber attackers.  MENA ISC 2021 brings together the best and brightest in the information security field, creating opportunities for conference attendees to learn about Cybersecurity’s most important issues through first-hand interactions with peers, luminaries, and top companies who are sponsoring the event.

MENA ISC 2021 will see the participation of more than 40 international and regional expert speakers, it covers Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and Jordan, targeting 15 pivotal industry sectors, including oil & gas, financial, defence, education, government services, and information technology.  Building on previous years’ efforts with strong media relationships and insight into the specialized cybersecurity sector, W7Worldwide is handling the event communications and media center for the conference. W7Worldwide’s ability to quickly adapt to last year’s virtual format with digital PR effort and focus on the significant rise in cyber threats since Covid-19 resulted in a 59% year on year growth of media exposure and brand reach for MENA ISC.
