World Cup cybersecurity recognised by National Cyber Security Agency

The National Cyber Security Agency has honoured 38 officer candidates in the Ministry of Defence for their participation in securing cyberspace in Qatar throughout the FIFA World Cup 2022.

HE President of the National Cyber Security Agency Eng Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Farahid al-Malki, who attended the ceremony to recognise the candidates, noted that securing cyberspace was a significant challenge.

He said that the National Cyber Security Agency was able to succeed in its ambition to protect cyberspace during the event, thanks to active participation with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Defence.

In anticipation of the challenges that would be faced he explained how the National Cyber Security Agency worked to develop plans as well as precise and rapid work mechanisms that could be put into action to address any potential and actual risks.
