UAE Cyber Security Council and Oracle sign agreement

The UAE Cyber Security Council and Oracle have agreed to work together to help strengthen the UAE’s cybersecurity framework and empower the existing IT infrastructure in the region.

The goal of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by His Excellency Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council and Nick Redshaw, Senior Vice President of Oracle is to promote cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.

The two companies will provide updates to each other’s databases, share information on the latest cybersecurity solutions, promote educational material and conduct continuous cybersecurity training.

His Excellency Dr Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti said: “We at the Cybersecurity Council are determined to build a cybersecurity system that protects all vital sectors of the country […], This collaboration will help us explore best practices, promote joint development of innovative solutions, and effectively train our executives on key cybersecurity developments.”

The UAE is looking towards the future, as the country works toward leaving behind its oil-reliant economy and instead moves toward an economy based on tourism and security surrounding tourism and large establishments.
