UAE and India reaffirm joint commitment to fight against terrorism

India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have confirmed their joint commitment to fight extremism and terrorism.

The plan will also cover cross-border terrorism at a regional and international level.

This partnership comes after the two nations signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to help bolster the strategic partnership and take bilateral economic engagement further.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held separte ceremonies to commemorate the new found partnership.

The two leaders released a joint statement, in which they both agreed to enhance maritime cooperation and maintain peace and security across the Middle East region. They reiterated that dialogue and cooperation is the cornerstone to maintaining peace.
