UAE 6-month entry visa price rise

The cost of applying for a six-month entry permit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has increased.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) in the UAE has increased the price to AED 1,250 – which includes a number of other charges. These include AED 1,000 for issuance, AED 100 for application, AED 100 for smart services, AED 28 for e-services and AED 22 for Federal Authority fees.

Before a 10-year golden visa can be applied for – the country’s long-term residency option – first the six-month entry permit is required. Under the golden visa scheme, several groups of individuals are eligible, including front-line defense workers, entrepreneurs, graduates from accredited UAE universities and others.

The scheme is designed to attract people to the UAE, and retain those already there.
