Saudi Arabia to provide support to Africa to strengthen security defences

Saudi Arabian officials met with their counterparts from the Horn of Africa to discuss security defence strategies.

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Horn of Africa Affairs Molly Phee and the newly appointed envoy for the Horn of Africa, David Satterfield, in the capital Riyadh on Monday 17th January.

The meeting focused on ways that Saudi Arabia can support security within the African continent, and how they can foster a stable environment. The dignitaries from Horn of Africa also took the opportunity to detail the development and prosperity of the African peoples and countries and discuss plans for its future.

An official report also stated the meeting “reviewed the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the US and ways to enhance them in all areas of cooperation and joint coordination.”
