Ring launches new security devices

Ring has launched a new line of smart home security products to help its mission to make neighbourhoods safer. The newest products include the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, Ring Video Doorbell Pro2 and Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus.

The new Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is the company’s most advanced outdoor camera yet. It is equipped with the latest 3D motion detection and Bird’s Eye view plus innovative features like a 110-db siren, colour night vision and Audio+ which delivers crisper, clearer sound via an array microphone. Once hardwired to the outside of the home it connects to WiFi for round-the-clock power and the ability to check on your property from anywhere, at any time. Advanced security options support Ring’s video End-to-End Encryption.

The 3D motion detection is also a feature on the Ring Video Doorbell Pro2. The feature means customers have more control of the motion alerts they receive as they can customise which areas of their property to monitor by selecting distance thresholds. The same technology also powers the Bird’s Eye View, which gives an aerial map view of the motion in front of the floodlight or video doorbell.

Jamie Siminoff, Ring’s Founder and Chief Inventor, said: “Four years ago, we reinvented the ordinary floodlight with our original Ring Floodlight Cam, and now we’re bringing more cutting-edge features to this device with our Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro.

“By expanding our 3D Motion Detection technology and Bird’s Eye View to Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, we’re giving customers greater insight about what’s taking place on their property for additional peace of mind.”

The new Ring Video Doorbell Pro2 also offers enhanced security features that include Head to Toe video; 1536p HD video and an array microphone that limits sound distortion. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus promises a reliable motion detector that is designed for larger areas of the home like gardens and driveways. It include a remote-activated security siren and LED floodlight for additional visibility in the dark.

The new products were unveiled at GITEX 2021.
