Oman Air and HSBC new currency partnership

Oman Air has partnered up with HSBC for a new currency partnership, offering the bank’s ‘Global Disbursement’ service from a centralised hub in Oman.

The new partnership is expected to boost security as well as enhance efficiency.

The fast money transfer service will allow for numerous currency transactions at once, and aid transparency with a ‘track and trace’ function.

In a statement, Abdulaziz Al Raisi, Oman Air’s CEO, says: “Oman Air continues to invest in innovative financial solutions as a crucial component of our success as a truly global airline”.

He continued: “HSBC’s Global Disbursement solution provides us with simplicity, expediency and security. We are confident that this partnership will enable us to achieve a more streamlined international payments procedure and, ultimately, enhance our guest experience”.

Melika Betley, CEO of HSBC Oman, added: “Our Global Disbursement solution is designed to simplify the cross-border payment process by reducing costs, minimising risk and improving transparency”.

She also added that the payment solutions team already had a strong track record in this geographical area, and a comprehensive suite of innovation solutions and products to help them carry out business.
