Intersec Saudi Arabia postponed due to Coronavirus

Intersec Saudi Arabia will be postponed until September, according show organisers Messe Frankfurt. The decision has been made due to growing concerns and travel restrictions brought about by the continuing spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The show, which was due to open at the RICEC Riyadh this month will now take place between 1 – 3 September 2020 at the same venue.

“This is a short-term situation requiring our immediate action and this is not a decision we have taken lightly nor without full possession of the facts as best we understand them,” said show director Andreas Rex.

“Whilst travel restrictions to KSA left us few options to hold the event at this time, ACE Group & Messe Frankfurt Middle East’s first priority is also to the health and well-being of our exhibitors and visitors and we ask for your understanding whilst we manage this process.”

Intersec Saudi Arabia is an important and growing show, designed to reflect Saudi Arabia’s security, safety, and fire protection industries, and one where international solutions providers look to make inroads in a market that is estimated to grow seven percent year-on-year in 2020.

The event has important support from key government entities including Saudi Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Saudi Civil Defence, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), together with the industry at large.

The event is sold out with 120 exhibitors from 20 countries and visitor registrations tracking 18% ahead of last year.
