Intersec Saudi Arabia: back stronger than ever

Intersec Saudi Arabia: back stronger than ever

The fourth edition of Intersec Saudi Arabia marked a triumphant return to the global live events stage when it took place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC) from 13-15 September.

Despite a two-year break, the show proved that live events for the industry were still very much in demand in the region. Across the three-day event, more than 150 exhibitors from 22 countries took their place on the show floor to display their solutions to nearly 10,000 visitors. Visitor numbers were more than double that of the previous edition of the show, which last took place in 2019.

The 9,836 visitors who stepped through the doors travelled from 48 countries to find out more about the security industry in the Middle East. The country’s increasing opportunities for security, safety and fire protection are clearly being recognised across the globe: the number of attendees from Europe grew an astonishing 630% in comparison to 2019’s event.

His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Marshed, Vice Chairman of Board of Directors; Chairman, Real Estate Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Intersec Saudi Arabia’s patron, said: “Intersec Saudi Arabia has always been a beacon of the safety and security industry in the Kingdom. The growth of the 2022 edition, and the response from exhibitors and visitors, reflects the growing market and the values of Saudi Vision 2030.”

The exhibitors at the event were on hand to greet show visitors and present their products and innovations in market sectors including commercial and perimeter security; cybersecurity, homeland security and policing, fire and rescue, and health and safety.

In addition, there was a much-anticipated three-day security conference which featured the industry’s most comprehensive showcase to date. A wide range of world-leading speakers, with an unrivalled breadth of knowledge were on hand to share their wisdom. This included government leaders, agencies, organisational heads, speakers, government stakeholders, policy makers, law enforcement, civil defence and private sector players.

Alex Nicholl, Intersec Saudi Arabia’s Show Director, said: “The successful return of Intersec Saudi Arabia has reinforced our belief that the Kingdom offers unparalleled market opportunities.”

He continued: “The incredible response from the industry truly demonstrates the importance both of live events and also of the security industry in the Kingdom. The growth in both exhibitors and attendees since 2019 is testament to this, as well as the growth of the market in Saudi Arabia.”
