Intersec Dubai and its 2024 highlights

The doors have closed on the 25th edition of Intersec and the innovations were endless! Exhibitors unveiled their latest partnerships, technologies and deals this week which are all furthering the security landscape. Take a look below at just some of the highlights we saw:

March Networks an intelligent video solutions provider announced the launch of its Essential Line (EL) Network Video Recorders (NVRs). This technology provides customers with a full-featured video management solution and analytics platform that is both cost-effective and has advanced functionalities.

Matrix and its channel partner ACIX MIDDLE EAST LLC showcased its extensive security offerings, spanning IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, Time-Attendance, and solutions.

Matrix introduced COSEC ARGO FACE, an intelligent door controller featuring high-speed face recognition technology with cutting-edge features such as Adaptive Face Recognition, Face Liveness Detection, and Mask Compulsion. The new device addresses evolving security threats and ensures swift identification in under 0.5 seconds.

The solutions company also revealed the Matrix COSEC PANEL200P, which is a multifunctional site controller overseeing up to 255 COSEC door controllers and managing 25,000 users to visitors of the event.

Axis Communications, the video surveillance provider announced new products, including a world-first for network camera technology.

The new products included the world’s first thermometric explosion-protected camera specifically designed and certified for use in Zone and Division 2 hazardous locations (AXIS Q1961-XTE).

Attendees at Intersec also saw the first network horn speaker from Axis certified for Zone and Division 1 hazardous locations (AXIS XC1311) and a high-frequency radar that can accurately detect, classify and track humans and vehicles in various light and weather conditions (AXIS D2210-VE).

3DX-Ray revealed its new smaller ThreatScan AS2 flat panel for its portable x-ray system, which has been specifically designed for operators working in areas where access is very restricted. Featuring a smaller footprint with a slightly improved resolution, the AS1 was created to be an ideal tool for backpacking and rapid deployment.

IDIS and Mercedes-Benz announced their partnership and plans to use an end-to-end solution that provides comprehensive coverage of its showroom and warehouse facilities with extended video storage.

As part of Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing investment in its Egyptian operations, the IDIS DirectIP solution, as per a partnership with security integrator leader G4S Egypt, aims to enhance security and operational efficiency at the showroom and warehouse in the Abo Rawash city industrial area.

Genetec Inc showcased the latest version of its Security Center and cloud-ready physical security solutions to those who visited its stall.

The company also disclosed the opening of a state-of-the-art experience centre in the UAE and news of the relocation of its Dubai office to accommodate continuous growth in the region.

The new experience centre and office is located at One Central in the Dubai World Trade Centre and feature an on-site Technology Center that operates as a fully functioning Security Operation Center (SOC) which will enable customers and partners from across the META region to see how Genetec solutions can directly enhance their security and operations.
