IDC Kuwait CIO Summit to land in May

The International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced that this year’s edition of the IDC Kuwait CIO Summit will take place in the Courtyard by Marriot in Kuwait City on May 22nd.

The theme of the event will be Enabling the Digital Economy’s Leaders, and the event will be supported by the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), whose Acting Director General, Dr. Ammar H. Alhuisaini, will present the opening address.

“In order to thrive in this new world, a digital-first mindset is essential, coupled with a vision to build a data-driven organisation that is ingrained with a culture of innovation. Leveraging cloud as a foundational platform, developing a data and intelligence plane powered by AI and advanced analytics, and enabling ubiquitous, consumption-based digital infrastructure will all become critical technology priorities,” says Ranjit Rajan, IDC’s Vice President of Research for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region.

During the session, Rajan will expand on what CIOs will need to do now – as well as in the future – to create an environment that fosters long-term sustainable innovation and how companies can build and present a culture of trust, as they move towards an industry ecosystem that demands innovation and authenticity.

The IDC Kuwait CIO Summit 2023 will also host a presentation from the world’s first officially recognised human cyborg, Neil Harbisson, who will explore the evolution of humanity and the exclusive insights into how technology can be leveraged to overcome some of the obstacles and disabilities that human beings face.
