Hanwha Techwin rebrands as Hanwha Vision

Leading South Korean Video Surveillance Company Hanwha Techwin has rebranded to Hanwha Vision, expanding its offers to be a global vision solution provider. The company has previously been known in the cybersecurity market as Hanwha Techwin for the last 30 years.

Hanwha Vision seeks to become the first stop on the market for retail, city surveillance and bespoke vision solutions. As part of the rebrand, a number of new innovative products will be joining its line-up, including the next generation of video surveillance products, which incorporate the use of AI technologies.

“By building our core competitiveness through innovation, we will continue to alleviate our customers’ pain points while adding new value with advanced vision solutions,” said Soon-Hong Ahn, President, and CEO of Hanwha Vision.

When discussing the new upcoming range of products that will be available, and the future direction of the company, Ahn added: “We will provide customised information through big data analytics and actionable solutions that not only prevent incidents but also respond to them in real time.”

Though no exact products were mentioned, the goal of the rebrand is to focus on vision solutions for the foreseeable future, with artificial intelligence and cloud computing enabling the advancement of vision solutions and the potential to detect and mitigate incidents before they take place.

At the start of the year Hanwha predicted 2023’s top video surveillance trends.
