GJD launches their latest external motion detector with the D-TECT 60

Award-winning designer and manufacturer GJD has announced the launch of its latest external motion detector, the D-TECT 60.

The latest product features as part of the GJD’s D-TECT range, as the company aims to provide reliable human detection systems and intelligent deterrent solutions for the global security market.

The D-TECT 60 is a dual PIR external wired motion detector and alarm trigger, and it offers a fully programmable beam range, avoiding boundary overspill. It also has a programmable detection range from 40 metres to 60 metres. Designing a detector to work effectively with a reliable catch performance, over such a long distance requires a lot of knowledge and experience and GJD have used their award-winning expertise to ensure the D-TECT 60 meets all the security installers requirements.

Commenting on the new product launch, Ana Maria Sagra-Smith, GJD’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We are excited to launch the D-TECT 60. It is a reliable and accurate long-range detector with many engineer friendly features that make set-up and servicing easier.”

In addition to the dual PIR technology, the D-TECT 60 has been designed with an adjustable field of view, which enables the professional security installer to align the detector’s field of view to match the associated CCTV camera, and in turn improving the performance and efficiency of the detector.

As with other GJD devices the D-TECT 60 is built using top quality components, ensuring that the security installer and end-customers are getting a highly reliable, cost effective solution for a wide range of external detection requirements.

In external environments, the D-TECT 60 also combines a high detection rate with minimum false alarms, which makes it perfect for event-triggered perimeter protection and intrusion detection systems. The new system also combines specially designed fresnel lens and dual pyro technology, to offer outstanding detection capabilities in a stable and efficient 60 metre detector.

Commenting on the new product introduction, Chris Moore, GJD’s Technical Product Manager said: “After conducting some market research, we discovered there was a gap in the market for a reliable long-range detector. The D-TECT 60 has already got lots of interest, we are looking forward to showcasing it to our customers.”
