Genetec unveils new SaaS Security Centre

Genetec Inc. unveiled its new enterprise-grade SaaS solution called the Security Center SaaS.

This new offering gives businesses the freedom to choose the door controllers, cameras, and devices that work best for their operations.

The Security Center SaaS is built on an open platform architecture that allows organisations to connect directly to the cloud with the latest Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, and i-PRO cameras.

It also enables companies to bring their existing access control and camera hardware to the cloud through the new range of Genetec Cloudlink appliances, which maximises their existing infrastructure investment.

With direct-to-cloud connection support for Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, and i-PRO devices, the Security Center SaaS takes full advantage of the newly announced Axis Cloud Connect solution and the existing Axis Powered by Genetec network door controller.

The solution enables customers to securely connect, enrol, and manage Axis devices in a diversity of deployment options, including direct device-to-cloud streaming of video, metadata, and access control data.

The latest Bosch cameras will also seamlessly integrate with the Genetec Security Center SaaS, and with firmware version 9.21 released later this year, Bosch will provide camera configuration capabilities and video viewing in the platform through direct-to-cloud connections.

Hanwha Vision’s Q series cameras will be fully compatible with the Security Center SaaS, and over time, the company will continue to add support for the solution across its entire product line to enhance its integrated systems.

Meanwhile, i-PRO will make as many existing camera models as possible compatible with the new Genetec solution through an app-based approach.
