Eng. Arif Al Janahi Opens SecurMiddleEast Symposium

The SecurMiddleEast Symposium – Security Middle East Magazine’s series of events based around best practices and innovation in enterprise security solutions – was launched on Thursday 17th June 2021, at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai. In front of a host of leaders, innovators and practitioners from Dubai’s security industry, the event started with a breathtaking and insightful speech from Engineer Arif Al Janahi.

Eng. Al Janahi is director of security engineering at the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), well known as the UAE’s leading body for safety and security through the implementation of international best practices in security systems, services and guards.

To start his in-depth presentation, Eng. Al Janahi educated the room on SIRA’s regional legislation and harmonization with security manufacturers. He explained how the pandemic has changed security systems in the UAE, and touched on the centralized system for monitoring security systems known as ‘Videoguard’, before capping off with his own insights into the future of the security industry.

An audience of security leaders and thought-leaders were graced by an outstanding figure in the region’s security community, and – at the UAE’s first key security event since the start of the pandemic – were left with a wealth of fascinating perceptions on all things cloud, conspiracy theories and social media.
