Dubai Police report decreasing crime rates in Q1 2023

A performance evaluation meeting of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, Dubai Police, has revealed a significant decrease in the crime rate for the first period of 2023.

The meeting was chaired by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief for Dubai Police. He praised the efforts of the department for their efforts in maintaining effective security and safety, which resulted in a 25% reduction in alarming reports in the time frame, with non-alarming criminal reports also declining by 7.1%, in comparison to the previous year.

Colonel Rashed Bin Dhaboui, Dubai Police’s Director of Criminal Control Department, presented a report on police efficiency and crime prediction comparing Q1 2022 to Q1 2023 at the meeting. His report showcased the results achieved through implementing developmental and strategic plans in order to reduce alarming crime rates, ensure speedy handling of reports, reduce crime rates in specific areas and form effective task forces.
