CPX announces winners of the annual CyberThon competition

CPX holding has announced the winners of the annual CyberThon Capture-the-Flag competition which took place during GISEC Global 2023.

More than 150 cybersecurity enthusiasts joined the competition, which was designed to educate and build awareness of the threats that lurk within cyberspace.

CyberThon, endorsed by the UAE Cyber Security Council, is an annual cybersecurity competition that challenges participants to test their hacking and resource management abilities in real-world scenarios. The event was sponsored by CPX Holding and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems and facilitated by Cympire.

The challenge was open to beginners and professionals alike. Participants were tested on port scanning, vulnerability exploitation, directory enumeration, misconfiguration, and more. Those taking part were either competing as part of the blue team or the red team, over the course of the one-day event.
