Bahrain top 10 for digital connectivity

Bahrain has shown one of the biggest improvements in digital connectivity internationally, according to the Digital Quality of Life (DQL) Index published by Surfshark.

The Kingdom was ranked ninth in Asia and 39th globally in the index, which is based on a range of assessments including electronic infrastructure, security and government. Last year Bahrain was in 61st place globally, meaning it’s seen a rise of 22 places for this year.

Despite this Bahrain still has some work to do to remain competitive. Although it recorded competitive results for internet quality (12th place) and e-infrastructure (28th place) it scored low for e-security (86th place). It’s still making moves in the right direction, the previous year its e-security was ranked in 117th place.
