24 Jun Australia’s largest commercial security event gears up
The latest in security innovation and education is about to hit Sydney with the Security Exhibition & Conference, the largest commercial event for the security industry in Australia, returning to the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour from 24-26 July 2019.
Once a year, across three days, more than 5,500 security professionals converge under one roof for the Security Exhibition & Conference. It brings together the entire supply chain of manufacturers, distributors, security professionals and end users to connect and create unparalleled business opportunities.
It its 34thyear, the theme of the Security Exhibition, sponsored by AXIS Communications, is Focus on Security. In keeping with the theme, lead industry partner, the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL), will host a compelling Conference and Executive Briefing program with a focus on building resilience to combat changing security threats. Sponsored by Sensing, the Conference and Executive Briefing program is expected to sell out ahead of the show – as it has the past three years.
“Focus on Security– it sounds simple, but it’s becoming less and less so,” Event Manager Melissa Clendinen said. “New and emerging threats are ever-evolving, as are the technologies and techniques to combat them. That’s why we unite the security industry annually; to provide unrivalled education and quality networking, alongside a showcase of the most innovative solutions on the market.
“The Security Exhibition & Conference is an opportunity to explore this evolving arena; see the newest products, learn about the latest technologies, hear the cutting edge thinking of local and international experts, academics and visionaries.
“And just as the industry is ever-evolving, so too is our show. To ensure we’re keeping visitors ahead of the game, we’ve added four new features to our program, including a series of round table discussions, AI/MI seminar, Start-Up Street and Innovation Precinct.
“Expect to see demonstrations of the use of fog to immediately halt burglars, thermal imaging camera solutions that reproduce crowd moods for effective event management, live stream facial recognition to instantly find known persons, bollards disguised as street furniture, 4k Bullet cameras and so much more. You don’t want to miss it!”
There’s only four weeks to go. Exhibition registration is free at securityexpo.com.au, where there is more information about conference and networking passes.
