Advanced Electronics Company announces agreement with ISS

Advanced Electronics Company – a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia Military Industries (SAMI) – has formally announced its agreement with Intelligent Security Systems Corporation – ISS to jointly develop business in the security and video analytics sectors.

Specifically, the agreement will see the manufacture of the SecurOS Under-Vehicle Surveillance System (UVSS) at AEC’s facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies was signed at the Riyadh LEAP Conference by both Ziad bin Houmod Al-Musallam, Chief Executive Officer, SAMI-AEC and Richard Burns, Chairman of ISS.

This joint venture meets the 2030 Vision Plan’s framework to create value-added employment, by localising the production and development of the product. It also supports the continuing research and development of the product and will help meet the growing demand for under-vehicle surveillance systems being seen both locally and on a global scale.

The ISS SecurOS system was last year selected to protect all eight stadiums and fan zones of the high-profile FIFA World Cup tournament that was held in Qatar. Closer to home it has also been adopted by ZATCA ( the Saudi tax and customs authority), KAPSARC and the Alsalam Royal Palace in Jeddah.
